Produced in BALB/c mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human FGF-5 as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1_K antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein A affinity chromatography.

Formulation :

A sterile filtered antibody solution was lyophilized from PBS.

Stability :

The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20^o C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least six weeks at 2-8^o C or for at least six months at -20^o C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitution:

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml.

Applications :

Neutralization 

To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND ₅₀ ] of the biological activity of hFGF-5 (27.6 μg/ml), a concentration of 100 μg/ml of this antibody is required.

Elisa 

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100µl/well), a concentration of 4.0-8.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/ml of recombinant Human FGF-5 when used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents.
