Preparation :

Produced in BALB/c mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human VEGF₁₆₅ as the immunizing antigen. This IgG1_K antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein A chromatography.

Formulation :

A sterile filtered antibody solution was lyophilized from PBS.

Stability :

The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20^o C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least six weeks at 2-8^o C or for at least six months at -20^o C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitution:

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml.

Neutralization 

To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND ₅₀ ] of the biological activity of Human VEGF (10.0 ng/ml), a concentration of <0.2 μg/ml of this antibody is required.

Elisa 

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/ml of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/ml of recombinant human VEGF₁₆₅ when used with 's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human VEGF₁₆₅ (500-P10Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.25-1.0 μg/ml.

Western Blot 

To detect hVEGF₁₆₅ by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.25-0.50 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hVEGF₁₆₅ is 0.25-0.50 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.
